The country's parliament heard the report of prime minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, who outlined all the country's indicators and the tasks, in particular, on reducing external debt. It has also been announced that construction of individual houses is growing in Kyrgyzstan.
GDP growth. The gross domestic product of Kyrgyzstan in January-October 2019 amounted to more than 455 billion soms and increased by 5.7% compared to the same period last year.
According to head of the Department of Economic Statistics and National Accounts of the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic Elvira Isenkulova, excluding enterprises developing the Kumtor deposit, the volume of GDP in January-October 2019 amounted to about 406 billion soms and increased by 3.3%.
“The volume of industrial production amounted to more than 224 billion soms and compared to the same period last year increased by 14% due to an increase in the production of basic metals - by 31.7%, in textile production - by 20.4%, and mining of metal ores - by 21.6%, as well as crude oil and natural gas production - by 13.7%, as well as coal production by 8.3%,” Isenkulova said.
Gold of Jerui. This week it was officially announced that explosing works at the Jerui gold deposit in Talas oblast began on November 11.
The first explosion at the Jerui field marks the beginning of ore mining, which will accumulate at the transshipment warehouse and at the gold recovery plant, said General Director of Alliance Altyn LLC Mikhail Shubin. LLC is developing this field.
By the start of processing, the company should accumulate about 50 thousand tons of ore in order for the gold production process to begin. This is one of the most important stages in the implementation of the project, Shubin said.
Foreign trade. This week, it became known that the foreign trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan for January-September 2019 amounted to 5 billion US dollars.
According to data of the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, compared to the same period last year, there was a decrease of 2.8%, while export deliveries increased by 11.7%, while import receipts, by contrast, decreased by 7, 3%
The volume of mutual trade between the republic and the EAEU member states in January-September 2019 amounted to 1 billion 960.1 million US dollars. And compared with the same period in 2018, it decreased by 2.9%. At the same time, a export deliveries decreased by 3.6% and import receipts by 2.8%. The largest share of the republic’s mutual trade with the EAEU member states was with Russia, its share was 61.4% and Kazakhstan - 36.4%.
Entrepreneurship support. This week, during a meeting of the Council for the Development of Business and Entrepreneurship under the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, chaired by Speaker Dastanbek Dzhumabekov, the draft law “On Amending the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On the Procedure for Inspecting Entrepreneurship Entities” was considered. Dzhumabekov noted that creating the necessary conditions for business is a priority goal for the state.
“Therefore, everything should be within the law. The proposed changes should be adopted only after careful study and wide discussion,” said the speaker.

PM on external debt. This week, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev announced that it is planned to reduce the external debt of Kyrgyzstan to 46.5% of GDP in 2019. He said this at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, where the budget for 2019 and the draft budget law for 2020 were considered.
He noted that the policy of President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov about not increasing the country's external debt found support in society.
In this regard, the head of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic separately noted the issue of the country's external debt.
“The external debt of Kyrgyzstan began to be stabilized since 2018. If in 2017 the country's external debt was 54% of GDP, then in 2018 the figures were 48% of GDP. In 2019, external debt will decrease to 46.5%,” he said.
The goal is 4% growth. The Kyrgyz government predicts the country's GDP in 2019 at the level of KGS 600.6 billion, or 4% growth than in 2018.
Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Abylgaziev said that initially the forecast for GDP for 2019 was fixed in the amount of KGS 604.7 billion soms, while in 2018 it amounted to KGS 557.1 billion.
“The main reason is that the deflator decreased by 0.5% and amounted to 3.7%. In 2018, the deflator was 1.5%,” he said.
The Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic noted that on the basis of new macroeconomic forecasts, changes are introduced into the 2019 budget.
At the same time, he also said that in 2020, the Kyrgyz government predicts a country's GDP growth of 5% or KGS 667.1 billion.
At the same time, according to him, inflation will be 3.7%.
Jerui in March. Head of the subsoil licensing department of the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubatbek Usonov told this week that at this time, the construction of the Jerui gold extraction factory has been completed by 80%. The first bullion is scheduled to be produced in March 2020. The company according to the agreement will deduct taxes to the state and invest in the social package of the region. To date, the Bakubat Talas Foundation has been created in the region, to which the company has already transferred KGS 450 million and has also provided assistance to rehabilitation centers and low-income families for more than KGS 19 million.
The gold reserves at Jerui are 105 tons and also 30 tons of silver.
Individual houses. In Kyrgyzstan, in January-October 2019, 6.9 thousand individual residential buildings with a total area of 788.3 thousand square meters were commissioned.
According to data of the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, this is 9.7% more than in January-October 2018.
Compared with January-October 2018, the commissioning of individual residential buildings increased in all regions, with the exception of Batken Oblast and the city of Osh.
