Business week in Kyrgyzstan, as a reflection of the consequences of turbulent political events, has not yet felt any special changes. As in the previous week, there were more negative moments in the country than positive ones. In particular, the incomes of the population slightly decreased, the generation of electricity did not increase either, and the National Bank was forced to intervene in the foreign exchange market five times a month. There were also positive moments. For example, the payment of the country's public debt continues, the number of recipients of smaller loans is growing, and the Government is preparing to introduce countermeasures to solve the problem of rising prices.
In general, the overall situation in the country's business environment remains relatively stable.
Population income. It was announced this week that the nominal monetary incomes of the population of Kyrgyzstan in the first half of 2020 amounted to KGS 210.5 billion and, compared to the corresponding period of last year, decreased by 2.3%.

According to data of the National StatisticS Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, the main source of monetary income of the population is income from labor activity, which accounts for 69% of the total income.
The volume of real money incomes of the population in the first half of 2020 in the country as a whole amounted to KGS 198.9 billion and, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, decreased by 7.7%.
New intervention. The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has already carried out currency intervention five times in a month, selling USD 55 million.

On Nov. 12, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has already intervened, selling USD 26.8 million.
On Nov. 16, USD 23,4 million were sold and on Nov.18, USD 1.3 million were sold.
Earlier, on Novb. 16 and 17, the National Bank sold USD 23.9 million.
On Nov. 19, USD 3 million was sold.
This is the fifth intervention in November. Since the beginning of the year, the National Bank has carried out 20 interventions.
Now, the dollar exchange rate is KGS 84.9 per one dollar.
Who receive loans? In January-September of this year, microcredit organizations of the Kyrgyz Republic issued loans in the amount of KGS 23.4 billion, while the number of recipients amounted to almost 545 thousand people.

According to the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic this week, compared to the corresponding period of last year, the number of the population covered by microcrediting increased by 18.5%, and the volume of issued microcredits - by 6.4%.
The largest volumes of microcredits were issued to recipients of Osh oblast - 22.3% of the total amount of issued microcredits and Jalal-Abad - 15.7%, Bishkek - 14.8%, and Chui oblast - 13.1%.
Of the total volume of microcredits issued for 9 months of 2020, 33.5% were directed to the development of activities in agriculture, 27.0% were borrowed for consumer needs, 10.4% - in the sphere of trade and public catering.
Public debt servicing. As of late September, 2020, the size of the public debt of Kyrgyzstan amounted to USD 4 billion 826.46 million ( KGS 384 186.08 million), according to the Ministry of Finance.

86.4% of them is the state external debt: USD 4 billion 171.13 million (KGS 332,022.03 million);
13.6% is the state internal debt: USD 655.33 million (KGS 52,164.05 million).
In January-October 2020, funds in the amount of KGS 22,432.0 million were actually allocated from the republican budget of the Kyrgyz Republic to service the public debt (external + internal) of the Kyrgyz Republic, of which:
- the state external debt - KGS 991.4 million;
- the state internal debt - KGS 12,440.6 million.
Measures on prices. Acting Prime Minister Artem Novikov this week informed Acting Prime Minister, President Talant Mamytov about measures to reduce food prices.

In particular, Novikov said that drafts of decrees were being prepared on the introduction of state regulation on some names and a temporary ban on the export of socially significant goods.
Negotiations are also underway with importers to form the required volume of stocks.
Electricity generation. It was announced this week that the volume of electricity generation by Electric Power Stations OJSC for 10 months of 2020 amounted to 11 billion 457.7 million kWh.

According to First Deputy Director General of Electric Stations OJSC Taalaibek Bektenov, this figure is 14.7 million kWh less than the indicator for the same period in 2019 (11 billion 472.4 million kWh).
“The production of heat energy for 10 months of 2020 amounted to 1 million 469.7 thousand Gcal, which is 161.5 thousand Gcal more than in the same period of 2019 (1 million 308.2 thousand Gcal),” Bektenov said.
