Bishkek, Oct. 28, 2024. /Kabar/. The weekly macroeconomic review of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) noted the growth of industrial production in Kyrgyzstan.
Analysts noted that in January-September of this year, this indicator amounted to 4.2%.
Statistics has improved markedly in recent months.
By the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Kara-Kyrgyzstan Autonomous Oblast, dozens of new enterprises, energy facilities and clusters in the processing of agricultural products were launched in the republic.
The EDB also noted that in September the output of basic metals was increased by 35.6%, while in August the year-on-year reduction was 16.1%.
“The key sectors supporting industrial growth remain the production of food products, coke and refined petroleum products, as well as power generation,” the review runs.
