Bishkek, April 15, 2022. / Kabar /. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov held talks with U.S. delegation, headed by Under Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy and Human Rights Uzra Zeya.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Cabinet reported that the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between the states were discussed during the meeting.
The deputy chairman of the Cabinet spoke about the measures taken by President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov to improve the well-being of citizens, the internal political situation, and progress in the field of human rights.
In turn, Under Secretary of State Uzra Zeya noted the willingness of the United States to strengthen its relationship with the Kyrgyz Republic. She expressed the readiness to sign a new cooperation agreement, thus opening a new chapter of relations between the countries on issues of democratic rights.
Edil Baisalov emphasized the commitment of the republic to international obligations, fundamental human rights and freedoms, the rule of law, and noted the readiness of the country's leadership to intensify cooperation with the United States.
