Bishkek, Sept. 27, 2024. /Kabar/. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov held a meeting with President of the German Tourism Association Norbert Fiebig and representatives of major German tour operators.
During the conversation, the sides discussed the prospects of tourism development in Kyrgyzstan and opportunities to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in this area.
Edil Baisalov noted the priority of tourism development for Kyrgyzstan, emphasizing the rich tourism potential of the country, which includes unique natural beauties, rich history and culture.
“We are happy to attract investments in tourism and are ready to cooperate with German partners in this area. Germany is the world's largest source of outbound tourism and is of the greatest interest to Kyrgyzstan,” Edil Baisalov said.
In turn, Norbert Fiebig noted the symbolism of this meeting, which is held on the day of celebration of World Tourism Day. He also expressed interest in the development of tourism in Kyrgyzstan and the willingness of the German Tourism Association to cooperate with Kyrgyz partners.
He stressed the readiness of the German Tourism Association to assist in promoting the tourism potential of Kyrgyzstan in the German market, as well as help in training Kyrgyz specialists in tourism.
The meeting also discussed the creation of joint tourism projects and promotion of Kyrgyzstan as a tourist destination in the international arena.
