Bishkek, March 30, 2023. / Kabar /. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Edil Baisalov held talks with the Korean delegation headed by former Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Kyrgyz Republic, now Mayor of Chechon city Kim Chang Gyu, the press service of the Cabinet reported.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers welcomed the signing of an agreement on establishing cooperation between the cities of Chechon and Talas, expressing the hope that this new bridge of friendship will play an important role in strengthening bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Korea.
“Korea is one of the main partners of Kyrgyzstan in the Asia-Pacific region. Considering this, we attach great importance to the relations of friendship and expansion of cooperation between the countries,” he said.
Baisalov also noted the outstanding personal role of Kim Chang Kyu, when he was ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic, in providing modern technologies for the electoral process.
In turn, Kim Chang Gyu expressed confidence that the Kyrgyz-Korean cooperation in various fields will only develop dynamically.
“Korea has accumulated a large and unique experience in developing such sectors of the economy as the automotive industry, the production of robots, machine tools and the most modern industrial equipment, IT solutions and creating conditions for the development of small and medium-sized businesses. We are ready to share our experience and take the necessary measures to strengthen trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between our countries,” said Kim Chang Gyu.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed a wide range of issues related to increasing mutual trade, attracting investment in the economy of Kyrgyzstan, cooperation in the field of tourism, agriculture, attracting labor and student exchange.
