Bishkek, Dec.11, 2019 /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev attended the expert group meeting to discuss the implementation of the Education Development Strategy for 2012-2020 and the draft Education Development Strategy until 2040, the Education Ministry’s press service said.
Education Minister Kanybek Isakov informed about the progress of implementation of the Education Development Strategy for 2012-2020.
He presented the draft Education Strategy, developed on the basis of the analysis of the previous strategy implementation, new tasks set by the National Development Strategy until 2040 and other documents.
The Strategy until 2020 was mainly aimed at ensuring children's access to education, the goal of the Strategy for the period from 2021 to 2040 is focus on the quality of education.
In addition, the benchmarks of the reform are the development of intellectual abilities of each citizen, the so-called "soft development skills", the creation of conditions for a safe and healthy environment.
"The strategy of education development enables graduates of all levels of education to live in the modern world and is aimed at obtaining the necessary knowledge and skills. In this regard, the strategy sets goals and objectives for each level of education. We are building a new education system on these principles," he said.
During the meeting, experts expressed their opinion and gave recommendations on the strategy.
