Bishkek, Apr.2, 2020. /Kabar/. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov received on Thursday Minister of Education and Science Kanybek Isakov.
Topical issues of educational sphere in conditions of the regime of emergency situation on the territory of the country and the state of emergency in some cities and regions that were introduced to prevent further spread of coronavirus infection were discussed, the President’s press service said.
Jeenbekov emphasized the current situation should not negatively affect the educational process and development of intellectual potential of the younger generation.
He stressed the importance of application of advanced digital technologies to fully ensure access to education for students in all regions of the country.
Education Minister Isakov said that, taking into account the current situation, a relevant action plan has been developed to ensure a smooth learning process. From Apr. 8, all educational institutions in the country will be switched to a remote mode of study.
The plan provides for online-lessons, for which 210 teachers were involved. Timetables have been drawn up, and video lessons for pupils in 1-4 grades will be posted on TV channels.
Video lessons for students in 5-11 grades will be available through some state-run TV stations.
In addition, about 400 training materials have been switched to e-format.
At the same time, students have the opportunity to use iBilim (for primary schools) and Bilim Bulagy multimedia packages.
Vocational schools and higher education institutions in the country will also operate remotely.
According to the minister, the deadline for registration for national testing has been moved. Materials and video lessons to prepare graduates for the testing are also available on online resources.
The possibility of remote examination of pupils of 9 and 11 grades is also under consideration.
Note that on March 16 this year, Kyrgyzstan closed educational institutions due to coronavirus for three weeks.
