Educational website ilimelim.kg launched in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Dec. 20, 2017 / Kabar /. An educational web site ilimelim.kg was presented in Bishkek. The creators of the educational site told about its opportunities and advantages during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.

One of the initiators of this project, associate professor of American University in Central Asia (AUCA) Ruslan Rakhimov stressed that today online education is developed well in foreign countries, thus, during the creation of the ilimelim.kg web site all the features and peculiarities were taken into account.

"Current web site aims to develop online education in Kyrgyzstan. We gathered leading academicians from different universities in Kyrgyzstan to take part in this project by conducting video lessons on their major in Kyrgyz language," Rakhimov explained.

Rakhimov also added that the video lessons are compiled in easy and simple language and thus people of all ages can contact them. As for today 20 courses have been published on the web site. In future, with the support of donors, it is planned to increase their number up to 100, the creators of the website told.

AUCA senior lecturer Elira Turdubayeva said that the website will provide an opportunity for those who have difficulties with Russian and foreign languages ​​to easily study and understand the basics of subjects of the humanities, natural sciences, and also in the field of exact sciences.

The initiators of the project pointed out that today there are a lot of cases when teaching of such subjects as democracy or political science gives incorrect explanations of their fundamental principles. Therefore, during creation of these video lessons emphasis was made on the accurate and understandable interpretation of information in all subjects.

The National Commission of the State Language provided necessary support to the project. Munduzbek Abdyjapar uulu who is the leading expert of Language Committee’s translation department emphasized that they are ready to further promote the development of the site.
