Bishkek, June 11, 2020 / Kabar /. The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has decided on the situation on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border, Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Erkin Asrandiev told at a briefing.
The EEC collegium recognized as a barrier those procedures that are taking shape on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border.
Asrandiev explained that under the EAEU legislation there are several categories for such situations - these are restrictions, exemptions or barriers. In this case, the situation is recognized as creating barriers.
“As for the problem at the border, we must solve it constructively. We are negotiating with Kazakh colleagues will decide. There was telephone conversation between the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan and the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan. Both sides have an understanding that there should not be such difficulties on the border. There are problems in streamlining these procedures, the movement of goods. I want to say that there are such problems at other internal borders,” he said.
The vice prime minister said that within the framework of the last meeting of the EAEU Board, it is proposed to form a working group in order to systematically approach the provision of free movement of goods within the EAEU.
