Eight people hospitalized with anthrax in south of Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Sept. 30, 2021 . / Kabar / . Eight people have been hospitalized with anthrax in Suzak region of Kyrgyzstan’s Jalal-Abad Oblast, head of the department of the Republican Center for Quarantine and Extremely Dangerous Infections Kuban Bekturdiyev told Kabar News Agency.

According to the information, in four patients the diagnosis was confirmed by laboratory tests.

"All have a satisfactory condition, receive appropriate treatment. It is established that they took part in the slaughter of a sick cow. Also, 20 people are contact persons, i.e. they ate meat of a sick cow, now they are under observation,” the specialist added.
