Bishkek, Sept. 3, 2020 / Kabar /. In 2020, there are 667 thousand more voters in the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh than in 2015, Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Akram Madumarov told at a briefing.

He said that today the number of voters is 3 million 451 thousand 846 people. This is 667 thousand 746 more than in the elections to the parliamentary elections in 2015.

In addition, the vice prime minister said that in connection with the pandemic additional security measures will be taken during the elections. In particular, all voters on Election Day will be provided with masks and gloves.

“Work is underway to connect the sites to the Internet, to provide uninterrupted electricity supply,” he added.

The parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan is slated for Oct. 4, 2020.
