Elections 2020. Kyrgyzstanis in countries with quarantine restrictions can go to vote

Bishkek, Sept. 14, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz citizens in countries with severe quarantine restrictions will be able to come and vote in an elections to the Kyrgyz Parliament, Director of the Department of Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Almaz Imangaziyev told during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.

He noted that there are some countries where quarantine restrictions are in place.

"Our diplomatic facilities in these countries are negotiating with local authorities so that Kyrgyz citizens can come to embassies or consulates on Oct. 4 and vote. We have worked out these issues in advance," the director said.

Imangaziyev noted that Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan and others are among the countries where quarantine restrictions are imposed.

The parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan are scheduled for Oct. 4 this year.
