Emergency mode. Bishkek citizens prohibited to walk in parks

Bishkek, May 11, 2020. /Kabar/. Residents and guests of Bishkek are prohibited to walk in the capital's parks during an emergency situation, Mayor of the capital Aziz Surakmatov said.

During a live broadcast he was asked whether it would be possible to go out for a walk in the park.

"Leaving the house possible only when necessary - to the grocery shop, pharmacy and work. It is forbidden to walk in the parks," said the mayor.

On May 11, Kyrgyzstan has lifted state of emergency which was introduced due to the COVID-19 epidemic. However, an emergency mode is in force throughout the country, and quarantine has been imposed in some cities and regions.

The Government has already developed a three-phase procedure for resuming economic activity; the first stage came into effect on May 1.
