Bishkek, Mar.21, 2020./Kabar/. An emergency situation has been introduced in Batken region (Batken Oblast), the press service of the oblast state administration reported on Saturday.
"Today, Mar.21, the first case of coronavirus infection was revealed in Batken Oblast. This is a resident of Samarkandek village of Batken region.
In connection with this, an emergency regime was introduced in 3 villages of Batken region - Samarkandek, Ak-Sai and Ak-Tatyr.
According to the order of Batken region head Kalanbek Markayev, roadblocks are being set up in these villages," the report says.
Except of Batken region, state of emergency has been declared in 2 regions of the republic where COVID-19 cases were registered- Suzak region of Dzhalal-Abad Oblast and Nookat region of Osh Oblast.
As of Mar.21, 12 cases of COVID-19 were registered in Kyrgyzstan.
Six of them have been detected today.
One case is in Batken region (Batken Oblast), five people are residents of Suzak region of Dzhlal-Abad Oblast.
Three were detected on Mar. 19 in Nookat region of Osh Oblast.
The first three infected in Suzak region Dzhalal-Abad Oblast became known on Mar. 18.
All the infected citizens have arrived from small Hajj (Umrah) in Saudi Arabia.
