Bishkek, Jan. 22, 2019. /Kabar/. Our compatriots became the most important support of the national team of Kyrgyzstan at the Asian Cup 2019.
These four matches have united the whole country; someone was cheering from the hot stadiums of the UAE, others from the sofas at home, others from retail outlets or sports bars of the capital.
The last match took place last night, when for reaching the ¼ finals Ak Shumkar players fought against the hosts of the tournament, as bookmakers predicted – favorites.
Kyrgyzstanis could not hold back emotions – some thanked the wards of Aleksandr Krestinin, others left angry comments about the judging of Fu Ming. Even the hashtag "FuMingShame" was launched. In eight hours, over 500 memes were dedicated to his work.
Our players are going home, they performed a miracle - they made way to the Asian Cup and the 1/8 finals of the tournament.
The Kyrgyz team has three losses on its account –China, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates; as well as the victory over the Filipinos.
The government team led by Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Adylgaziyev did not stand aside. A spokesman for the Prime Minister posted a photo where Abylgaziyev and the vice prime ministers are watching the match.
