Employees of Drug Supply Department of Kyrgyzstan infected with COVID-19

Bishkek, May 8, 2020 / Kabar/. 5 employees of the Drug Supply Department of Kyrgyzstan were infected with COVID-19 infection, Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbaev told Friday a news briefing.

He said that they were infected from one of the colleagues. “The Department is conducting anti-epidemiological measures, disinfection, etc.,” said Usenbaev.

In addition, 2 new cases were registered among medical workers in the last 24 hours.

“The total number of medical workers diagnosed with COVID-19 is 226 cases, 163 of them were discharged from hospitals with recovery,” he said.

As of May 8 morning 11 new COVID-19 cases were registered in Kyrgyzstan, bringing the total to 906.

650 citizens have been recovered and discharged from hospitals, including 163 health workers. Twelve have passed away.
