Employers in Kyrgyzstan obliged to pay wages only in non-cash form

Bishkek, Oct.22, 2024. /Kabar/. Starting from Oct. 1, employers - legal entities are obliged to pay wages only in non-cash form, the State Tax Service of Kyrgyzstan said.

The requirement is introduced by the Law of July 23, 2024 in the Labor Code of the republic. Exceptions are possible in case of force majeure, state of emergency or emergency situation, and in other cases stipulated by the Cabinet of Ministers

The Cabinet of Ministers also has the right to authorize the payment of wages in cash for certain types of activities or in certain regions of the country.

In addition, employers are required to keep a register of employees through the “Taxpayer's Cabinet” on the cabinet.salyk.kg and update the data in a timely manner. This requirement does not apply to organizations financed from the state budget.
