Bishkek, June 22, 2021 . / Kabar / .In Kyrgyzstan, the epidemiological situation related to COVID-19 is severe but controlled, Minister of Health and Social Development Alymkadyr Beishenaliev told Kabar News Agency.
He added an increase in coronavirus casss is observed, including reinfection.
Beishenaliev added the population must strictly follow the sanitary-epidemiological rules: wear masks, wash hands, do not visit crowded places.
Regarding the postponement of repeat elections to the city councils of Bishkek, Tokmok and Osh, the minister noted that this issue will be solved by local authorities.
On June 22, the country reported 931 new COVID-19 cases, 435 of them were revealed in Bishkek.
The virus claimed lives of 8 people, and 5 fatalities were recorded in the capital city.
As of today, Kyrgyzstan's death toll from COVID-19 has climbed to 1,945.
