Bishkek, Aug. 28, 2020 / Kabar /. As of Aug. 27 of this year, the number of registered COVID-19 cases in Bishkek amounted to 17,511, of which 7,485 people infected with COVID-19 and 10,026 cases of pneumonia, Vice Mayor of Bishkek city Victoria Mozgacheva told at a briefing.
At the same time, she said that there is a downward trend in cases of coronavirus infection among the townspeople. Thus, 412 cases were registered in the city on Aug.1, and 32 cases on Aug. 27.
“I would like to remind you that 16 (13 day and 3 night) makeshift hospitals were opened for emergency medical advisory and primary medical care, designed for 1,173 beds with the provision of personal protective equipment for involved doctors. To date, all these makeshift hospitals are closed,” she said.
The vice mayor also indicated that in total 103,644 people asked for medical help in these hospitals (of which: in the daytime – 94,441 people, at night – 9,203), 72,376 people received an injection in the form of droppers, 30,741 people were consulted, 513 were hospitalized.
Medical assistance to the population in these hospitals (day / night) was provided by 89 doctors, 128 nurses, 42 orderlies and 35 volunteers.
“To prepare for a possible re-wave of the pandemic and in the event of an increase in the incidence of coronavirus infection and pneumonia in Bishkek, we are ready to reopen hospitals, including on the basis of family medicine centers,” said Mozgacheva.
At the same time, she said that for the early detection of patients with coronavirus infection and pneumonia, door-to-door rounds are still being conducted by interviewing.
“A total of 86,281 houses (courtyard) were examined, 190,387 people were interviewed, as a result 6,945 people were found with symptoms of acute respiratory viral infections and community-acquired pneumonia,” the vice mayor said.
Also, a representative of the city authorities reported on the work of the hotline for self-diagnosis - 118.
"In total, since April 6, 2020, 108,504 people have received consultations, of which 8,034 for coronavirus infection," she said.
