Epidemiological situation in Kyrgyzstan is stable, Ministry of Health

Bishkek, Feb.17, 2020. /Kabar/. As of Feb.17, 2020 epidemiological situation regarding influenza and ARVI in Kyrgyzstan is stable, the press service of the Health Ministry of the country said.

According to the ministry’s data, high morbidity was reported in week 5 and 6 of 2020.

Starting from the 7th week on Feb. 10-16, a 15.5% decline in the incidence was observed compared to the previous week of the year, 9,884 cases were registered, compared to 11,704 cases in the 6th week, a decline in the incidence is observed in all regions of the country.

Within 6 weeks 90 patients from sentinel health organizations were tested for laboratory confirmation, 21% of which were flu positive (19 cases), including influenza B confirmed in 57% of patients (11 cases) and influenza A/H3N2 - 31.5% (6 cases) and influenza A/H1N1 - 31.5% (2 cases).
