Bishkek, June 10, 2020 /Kabar/. The epidemiological situation in Kyrgyzstan, associated with the COVID-19 coronavirus infection, remains tense, Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbayev told a briefing at the Government House.

"There are cases of death. In general, the rate of increase is not very high, but nevertheless, deaths from coronavirus infection indicate that the infection is insidious and the risk of complications and such fatal cases remain. Non-compliance with sanitary requirements aggravates the whole situation," Usenbayev said, calling on citizens to be responsible not only for their own health but also for that of others.

Kyrgyzstan on Wednesday confirmed 38 new cases of coronavirus infection, raising the total to 2,093.

409 of these cases are revealed among medical personnel.

1,572 patients have cured and been discharged from hospitals, including 294 medics.

26 people have died.
