Bishkek, Apr. 15, 2020. /Kabar/. The epidemiological situation in Naryn Oblast is getting worse, Nurbolot Usenbayev, Chief Sanitary Doctor and Deputy Minister of Health said at a briefing at the Government House.
According to him, a humanitarian cargo with personal protective equipment for physicians has been sent to the oblast.
"For various reasons, pockets of infection have formed, and infected people are being identified among the contacts. This issue is being discussed at the Republican Headquarters.
We have sent there humanitarian aid, supplies that we have. Two batches of humanitarian aid have arrived - they were sent to Naryn town and At-Bashy region. There are four medics working in At-Bashiy region who have been sent from the capital; the same group of medics will be sent to Jumgal region," Usenbayev said.
On Apr. 14, Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov has imposed a state of emergency in Naryn town and At-Bashy region of Naryn Oblast.
As of today, number of coronavirus cases in Kyrgyzstan has reached 449, including 98 cases of infection among medical personnel.
78 citizens have recovered and discharged from hospitals. Five have died.
