Bishkek, Sept. 23, 2020. /Kabar/. Last week, Kyrgyzstan’s number of identified COVID-19 cases rose from 47 to 91 cases, Prime Minister of the country Kubatbek Boronov said at a briefing.

Data across the regions of the republic show that epidemiological situation in Batken Oblast is poor, and the number of cases of infection is increasing in Issyk-Kul and Dzhalal-Abad Oblasts.

"As of Sept. 23, 45 thousand 630 cases of COVID-19 infection were registered in Kyrgyzstan, 41 thousand 904 of them recovered and 1 thousand 63 people died. There are 539 patients in hospitals and 1,677 patients are receiving treatment at home. Citizens must treat sanitary rules responsibly. Now they have started to hold mass festive events, what is dangerous for the epidemiological situation,” Boronov said.

The prime minister noted the need to follow sanitary and epidemiological rules, wear masks and observe social distancing.
