Ethnic Kyrgyz people from XUAR give concert in Bishkek

Bishkek, Mar. 23, 2019. /Kabar/. Ethnic Kyrgyz people from the Kyzyl-Suu Kyrgyz Autonomous Region of XUAR, China, gave a charity concert at Abdylas Maldybaev Kyrgyz National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater in Bishkek.

Artists from XUAR presented a broad program in the national style. As part of the concert, there were manaschis (tellers of the Epic of Manas), dancers and singers. The artists also presented several theatrical performances with a demonstration of ancient Kyrgyz traditions, which they have managed to preserve for many centuries.

The delegation from the XUAR arrived in Bishkek to celebrate Nooruz holiday at the invitation of Kyrgyz President Jeenbekov, and will stay in Kyrgyzstan until March 25. During the visit, they will hold several concerts in Bishkek and visit Mukash Abdraev Music School, Chingiz Aitmatov Museum, Ata-Beyit memorial complex, the Kyrgyz Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, Gapar Aytiev National Museum, Moldobasanov Kyrgyz National Conservatory, the National Library and Ala-Archa National Natural Park.
