Bishkek, Mar. 25, 2019. /Kabar/. A meeting a delegation of ethnic Kyrgyz people from the XUAR (Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region) of the People's Republic of China with cultural and art workers of Kyrgyzstan took place at A. Osmonov National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic on March 24, the National Library of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The meeting was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The delegation from the XUAR was led by Kalbinur Usen Kyzy, a member of the party committee of the Kyzyl-Suu Kyrgyz Autonomous Region of the XUAR of the People's Republic of China. Library Director Bakashova conducted an introductory tour for the delegation from China. The honored guests familiarized themselves with the cultural centers and funds of the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The meeting was held in Aitmatov Hall of the library, attended by Deputy Minister of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic Kairat Imanaliev, famous cultural and art figures of the republic – Raev, Kazakov, Begaliev, Sartbaeva, Seydakmatova, Toktakunova, Abylov, Ozubekov, Kalykov and others.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged information in the field of intercultural relations and bilateral cooperation. Famous artists of Kyrgyzstan and ethnic Kyrgyz people, representatives of the XUAR delegation performed musical performances at the meeting.
The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, the sides agreed on further cooperation and strengthening friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
As is known, 47 nationalities live in the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region, among the most numerous of which are ethnic Kyrgyz.
