EU High Commissioner Federica Mogherini to visit Bishkek

Bishkek, May 8, 2019. / Kabar /. High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini will visit Bishkek, Head of the European Union Delegation to the Kyrgyz Republic Eduard Auer told during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.

He said that Mogherini will arrive in Bishkek to attend the ministerial conference of the heads of foreign ministers of the countries of Central Asia in summer.

“This meeting takes place every year alternately in Brussels and in one of the Central Asian countries. This year the event will be held in Kyrgyzstan. As for the agenda, it is not yet fully defined. As a rule, five foreign ministers and plus the European Union discuss regional cooperation, global issues, security and the environment,” he explained.

Auer also added that Federica Mogherini will meet with the leadership of Kyrgyzstan.
