Bishkek, June 27, 2019. /Kabar/. The 9th meeting of the Coordination Council for Cooperation with the European Union (EU) under the chairmanship of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov with the participation of the members of the Council, representatives of ministries and agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as Head of the EU Delegation to the Kyrgyz Republic, Ambassador Eduard Auer was held on June 26 in Bishkek.
The meeting included a presentation by Charlotte Adriaen, the Head of the Cooperation Department of the EU Delegation to Kyrgyzstan, on the EU Country Review Document and possible priorities for cooperation to be discussed and included in the draft of the new Multi-Year Indicator Program for the Kyrgyz Republic for 2021-2027.
The European side expressed its readiness to consider additional cooperation areas between the EU and the Kyrgyz Republic and to elaborate the allocation of relevant resources.
Following the meeting, the Coordination Council decided ministries and agencies to reconsider and submit specific proposals on priority issues for consultations on the development of a new Cooperation Program.
