EU Special Representative for Central Asia Peter Burian completes his visit to Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, April 26 / Kabar/. The EU Special Representative for Central Asia, Ambassador Peter Burian, visited Kyrgyzstan on 24-25 April.

During the visit he met with Chairperson of the Central Election Commission, senior representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Members of Parliament as well as with representatives of civil society.

Additionally, Ambassador Peter Burian met with heads of foreign diplomatic missions and representatives of international organizations.

"My visit to Bishkek was timely and served the purpose of reiterating the EU interest in fair and transparent elections, a strong civil society and free media and to reconfirm the EU's commitment to support the Kyrgyz government in respective reforms," stated EU Special Representative for Central Asia Peter Burian at the conclusion of the visit.
