EU wishes to enhance cooperation within Central Asia

At a briefing in Brussels, EU Special Representative for Central Asia Peter Burian told that it is planned to focus on certain points in order to promote the interests and values ​​of the EU, that is, human rights.

Burian added that the EU will focus on a common approach to solving problems that are better resolved at the regional level. He noted that many citizens of neighboring countries travel to the city through Dubai or Istanbul, despite the fact that they are neighbors. The EU Representative, stressing the current progress in Uzbekistan, further explained that much can be done to improve contacts between people, the exchange of goods, etc. This country has opened its borders. There is a visa-free regime with the neighboring countries. There is potential for the development of Central Asian trade.
