Bishkek, May 6, 2021. / Kabar /. The evacuated residents of Batken and Leilek regions of Batken Oblast started to return to their homes, the press service of the Batken District Internal Affairs Directorate said.

Also, additional mobile police stations have been attracted to the region, psychologists and medical workers are also working.
Over 100 buildings were burnt or damaged, 36 people were killed, 189 injured in Kyrgyzstan as a result of the clashes at the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border on April 28-30.
The situation on the border between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan near the Golovnoy water intake facility escalated on April 28, after clashes had sparked between residents of the two countries’ border areas. On April 29, clashes between Kyrgyz and Tajik servicemen broke out. Tajik sides used mortars, machine guns and Mi-24 military helicopters. A ceasefire was established between the countries on May 1.
