Bishkek, Dec. 17, 2020 / Kabar /. An Evening of Kyrgyz History and Culture was held at the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Japan on Dec. 15, 2020.
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported that the event was attended by representatives of various associations and companies of Japan in the field of intercultural exchange, human development, as well as business circles.
Kyrgyz Ambassador to Japan Mirlan Arstanbaev in his welcoming speech noted the ancient and rich culture of the Kyrgyz people with its traditions and customs and thanked the participants of the event for their interest in the history and culture of the Kyrgyz people and their contribution to strengthening cultural cooperation between the two countries.
Presentations on the history and culture of the Kyrgyz people, as well as videos about the participation of the Japanese delegation at the Third World Nomad Games were presented to the guests.
In the second part of the evening, the guests were given the opportunity to get acquainted with the national musical instruments of the Kyrgyz people and folk works on the komuz and ooz komuz.
The evening ended with an exhibition of Kyrgyz honey and souvenirs of folk applied art.
