Bishkek, Feb. 24, 2022. / Kabar /. within the framework of the International Information Campaign "Justice for Khojaly", the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the Kyrgyz Republic held an event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Khojaly events.
The campaign "Justice for Khojaly!" launched in 2008 at the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, the vice president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, with the aim of spreading the truth about those events to the world, and a website was launched in which all information about the events of February 26, 1992 was published.
Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the Kyrgyz Republic Latif Seyfaddin oglu Gandilov said that those events are one of the most terrible tragedies of mankind. “Azerbaijan says no to genocide, such events should not be repeated anywhere and never,” he noted.
The memory of the victims of Khojaly was honored with a moment of silence and a prayer from the Holy Quran was read in memory. A documentary film dedicated to Khojaly was demonstrated. The event was attended by diplomats, representatives of public organizations, representatives of the intelligentsia and the media, cultural figures of the republic, members of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Kyrgyzstan.
According to the embassy, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation hold annual actions "Justice for Khojaly" in many cities of the world, offices of international organizations and in particular in the headquarters of the UN office in Geneva.
