Event dedicated to traveler Przhevalsky to be held in KRSU

Bishkek, Oct. 18, 2018. /Kabar/. An international round table entitled "Eurasian Routes of N. M. Przhevalsky: Preserving the Historical Memory of the Great Traveler" will be held in the conference hall of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) named after Yeltsin on October 19.

The purpose of the event is to preserve the memory of the scientific and historical feat of the great pioneer who laid the foundations for the development of comprehensive cooperation of states in the Eurasian space, the press service of the university reported.

The round table will be attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Kyrgyz Republic Krutko, scientists and students, representatives of state structures and public organizations of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian diplomatic corps in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Those gathered contacted online the Russian Military Historical Society and the House Museum of Przhevalsky, located in Przhevalskoe village, Demidov region, Smolensk oblast of Russia, directly from the venue of the event.

The scientific event dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the death of Nikolai Przhevalsky is organized in preparation for the 180th anniversary of the birth of the traveler, which will be marked in 2019.

A photo exhibition entitled “Karakol - the Last Pier of Przhevalsky” will be opened in the hall of the main building of the KRSU.
