Events dedicated to 30th anniversary of independence of Kyrgyzstan start in Yekaterinburg

Bishkek, Aug. 9, 2021. / Kabar /. The Consulate General of Kyrgyzstan in Yekaterinburg, together with the Yekaterinburg Library Center, organized a screening of the feature film Darak Yry (Song of the Tree) by Kyrgyz director Aibek Daiyrbekov on Aug. 6, 2021, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The screening is timed to the opening of a series of events of the Consulate General dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Kyrgyz Republic and includes screenings of films by Kyrgyz directors, a teleconference between the library of Kyrgyzstan and the Yekaterinburg Library Center, a chess tournament, Reading Day of the works of Kyrgyz poets and writers.

The festive event was attended by representatives of state bodies of the city, foreign consular institutions and public figures, leaders and activists of diaspora organizations, youth from among compatriots.

In his welcoming speech, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry office in Yekaterinburg, Alexander Kharlov, warmly congratulated on Independence Day and wished the Kyrgyz people peace and prosperity.

Consul Nurlan Alymbekov told the audience about the history of the celebration of the Independence of Kyrgyzstan, expressed gratitude to all the guests and director Daiyrbekov who kindly provided the film for screening in the capital of the Urals.

After watching the film in an informal setting, an exchange of views took place, the guests were unanimous in their opinion about the good director's and camera work, which showed the beauty of Kyrgyzstan's nature, national traditions and costumes.
