Bishkek, Oct. 19, 2018. /Kabar/. Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Altynai Omurbekova met with Minister of Culture and Tourism of China Luo Shugang in Beijing. The sides discussed issues of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as the implementation of the agreements reached during the state visit of President of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbekov to China in June of this year, the press service of the Government Office of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The Chinese side informed about the preparation of the tour of the Chinese creative team to Kyrgyzstan in 2019 with the aim of staging the “Manas” opera based on the Jusup Mamai’version of the book. In China, the “Manas” opera has been staged for the 10th time in Chinese on the basis of the book by Jusup Mamai.
Noting the work of Kyrgyz writer Chyngyz Aitmatov, Luo Shugang said: “Chyngyz Aitmatov is a very respected person in China. He is very well known and remembered by many citizens of China. I myself have read the works by Aitmatov, including The First Teacher and The White Ship. It is planned to hold events dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Chyngyz Aitmatov in China in December of this year.
In addition, one of the important issues that were discussed during the meeting is the development of cooperation in the field of tourism. The Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan stressed the need to establish close cooperation between the travel companies of the two countries.
A separate topic of conversation was the interaction of the two countries in the field of protection of cultural heritage and archeology. The sides reached a mutual understanding on the need to implement projects in Kyrgyzstan together with Kyrgyz specialists.
