Every fifth child in Kyrgyzstan has opportunity to have access pre-school education - UNICEF

Bishkek, June 4, 2018. / Kabar /. Every fifth child in Kyrgyzstan has the opportunity to have access to pre-school education, head of the UNICEF office in the Kyrgyz Republic Yukie Mokuo told during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.

She said that in Kyrgyzstan there are more than 2 million children, which is almost 40% of the population.

"Investments in children are very important. Every dollar of investing in a child in the future will come back. This will lead to a decrease in crime and poverty. It can also improve the individual income of the adult population by almost 25%. The development of the country depends on investments in children," she said.

UNICEF co-organizes the "Children's Caravan Games", which will start tomorrow as part of the Third World Nomad Games.

Yukie Mokuo said that the development of children through games is a universal approach from either side.

"Our caravan is an appeal to parents, so that they pay more attention to children, especially at an early age," she added.

"Children's Caravan Games" starts tomorrow in the city of Kant.
