Every fifth civil servant of Kyrgyzstan who studied in Japan occupies a leadership position, Director of the State Agency for Civil Service Affairs and Local Self Government Kudaibergen Bazarbaev said at a meeting with Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE) President Yoshido Kozo.
According to the press service of the agency, a project is being implemented in Kyrgyzstan jointly with the Japanese side to provide scholarships for advanced training of management personnel.
“Scholarships are provided to state and municipal employees to study at universities in Japan and obtain master's and doctoral degrees. During the JDS project, about 300 Kyrgyzstanis were able to improve their skills. At the same time, every fifth employee who was trained in Japanese universities today occupies a leadership position,” Bazarbaev said.
The head of the State Personnel Agency noted interest in increasing quotas for Kyrgyzstan.
“Our country is developing dynamically, the need for new qualified personnel is growing. Therefore, on the instructions of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, we are working on a new system for increasing the potential of the civil service and expanding opportunities for self-realization. In a month, a new group of employees will leave for training in Japan,” Bazarbaev said.
