Bishkek, Sept. 15, 2020 / Kabar /. Ex-Minister of Health Kosmosbek Cholponbaev has been detained on Tuesday on suspicion of negligence and power abuse, the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes said.
Earlier, the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes has opened a criminal case on suspicion of negligence and abuse of office in relation to the responsible persons of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic.
It was found that the leaders of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, abusing their official position, as well as against the interests of the people and the state, entered into an unprofitable contract for the provision of consulting services, which caused damage to the state budget in the amount of about KGS 9 million.
