Exercises of CSTO Collective Forces to be held in Kyrgyzstan in 2023

Bishkek, March 31, 2023. / Kabar/. This year, exercises of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Collective Forces will be held in Kyrgyzstan, the organization reported.

From March 28 to March 30, the first staff talks were held at the CSTO Joint Headquarters on organizing and conducting joint exercises with the CSTO troops (Collective Forces), planned for 2023.

The talks were attended by representatives of interested ministries and departments of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, as well as the Secretariat and the Joint Staff of the CSTO.

In 2023, a complex of exercises with the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) will be held in the form of a joint operational-strategic exercise "Combat Brotherhood", which is the highest form of joint training in the format of the Organization. In different regions of the CSTO area of responsibility, all elements of the collective security system will be involved.

During the talks, the fundamentals of the ideas for holding joint exercises, the composition of command and control bodies and troops involved in the exercises, issues of organizing leadership, as well as comprehensive support for joint and special exercises, were considered and discussed.

As part of the joint operational-strategic exercise Combat Brotherhood-2023, a set of measures has been planned.

It is planned to hold a Joint Business Game using the capabilities of the technical means of the CSTO Crisis Response Center and the command posts of the national CSTO bodies.

Joint and special exercises are planned on the territory of Belarus, combining the training of various components of the Troops (Collective Forces) of the CSTO:

- joint exercise with the Collective Rapid Response Forces of the CSTO "Interaction-2023" with the development of tasks for the use of forces and means of the CSTO collective security system in order to resolve the crisis situation in the Eastern European region of collective security of the CSTO;

- a special exercise "Poisk-2023";

- a special exercise with the forces and means of logistics of the Troops (Collective Forces) of the CSTO "Echelon-2023".

For the first time, a special exercise will be held on the territory of Belarus "Barrier-2023". A special exercise was also planned with units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations allocated to the formations of the special forces of the CRRF CSTO "Rock-2023".

At the final stage of the joint operational-strategic exercise "Combat Brotherhood-2023" in the Central Asian region of collective security, it is planned to conduct a joint exercise with the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces "Indestructible Brotherhood-2023".
