Bishkek, June 9, 2023. / Kabar /. An exhibition of Kyrgyzstan has opened at VDNKh (Exhibitions of achievements of the national economy) in Moscow as part of the largest Russian tourism forum Travel, the press service of the Tourism Development Support Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic said.
The exhibition will run from 8 to 11 June. It will feature delicious food, national games, interesting master classes, a fashion show and unusual souvenirs.
Visitors of the Kyrgyz pavilions will find a lot of interesting things. Representatives of travel companies of Kyrgyzstan will be able to find new partners, and numerous guests of the forum will learn more about all the tourist opportunities of our country and even book a trip, the fund said.
Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Vakhrukov and Advisor to the President of the Tourism Development Support Fund Maksat Usubaliev spoke at the official opening of the Travel Forum. He recalled that the Kyrgyz Republic was among the top three most popular holiday destinations among independent travelers from Russia, ahead of Turkiye, Egypt and Israel - countries that were previously considered traditional for Russian summer holidays.
Traditionally, Russians preferred a beach holiday in Kyrgyzstan - a holiday on Issyk-Kul Lake. But now adventure tourism is becoming more popular: mountaineering, rock climbing, living in yurts, horseback riding, visiting ancient fortresses, climbing the high peaks of the Tien Shan. And we can offer all types of tourism for Russian travelers,” said Maksat Usubaliev.
With the support and active participation of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Russian Federation, the national exposition was opened yesterday. A large yurt with traditional decoration attracted everyone's attention. It was very popular among adults and children, giving everyone the opportunity to join the nomadic culture in the heart of Moscow.
