Exhibition of Kyrgyz national costumes and products opened in Paris

As part of the visit of the delegation of the Congress of Women of Kyrgyzstan to Paris, an exhibition of Kyrgyz national costumes and decorative arts and crafts of Kyrgyzstan was opened in the Alfalibra art gallery in Paris on January 8, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to France Asein Isaev, French Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Mikael Roux, deputy of the National Assembly of France Siren Moborne, Vice Mayor of Paris Olivia Polski, as well as representatives of the French Foreign Ministry and other French guests took part in the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

In their speeches, the heads of diplomatic missions of Kyrgyzstan and France highly noted the role and importance of folk culture in the development of bilateral relations, the importance of holding similar cultural events that bring the two nations closer even despite the geographical distance from each other. It was also noted that France’s interest in the culture, history and traditions of the Kyrgyz people is growing every year.

The exhibition will last 3 days.

Also during the visit of the delegation of the Congress of Women of the Kyrgyz Republic to France, meetings were held with deputies of the Senate and the National Assembly of France, the city hall of Paris, the leadership of UNESCO, the movement of French enterprises MEDEF International, as well as state and public organizations responsible for gender issues.
