Exhibition of national dishes and applied arts on the occasion of Nooruz in Bishkek

Bishkek, Mar. 21, 2019. /Kabar/. An exhibition of national dishes and decorative and applied arts dedicated to the celebration of Nooruz was held in Bishkek, the press service of the State Agency for Local Self-Government and Inter-Ethnic Relations (SALSGIER) of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

Nooruz is a symbol of rebirth. From time immemorial, the day of the spring equinox has been a symbol of the renewal of nature, personified a continuous link between times and generations. Radiating the energy of creation, beauty and love, Nooruz reflects the greatness of the culture and traditions of our peoples. Every time we celebrate this holiday, we turn to the traditional high moral ideals of our society. On this day, it is customary to forgive old grudges, to give others joy and kindness. The more cordially the people celebrate Nooruz, the more generous nature will be to them. For all of us, this is the Great Feast of Friendship, the celebration of unity, the equinoxes of day and night, the beginning of the eastern new year, from which we expect all the good. Nooruz symbolizes the rebirth of the native land, the awakening of all nature by the rays of the spring sun.

The event was attended by representative of the President’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic Sanjarbek Tajimatov, Deputy Director of the SALSGIER Esenbek Togonbayev, Acting Chairman of the People’s Assembly of Kyrgyzstan Zuhra Shidakova, as well as representatives of public and ethnic associations of Kyrgyzstan.
