Bishkek, Feb.11, 2020. /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz capital city of Bishkek hosted the meeting of experts from the Social Fund of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan’s Pension Fund, the press service of the Kyrgyz Social Fund reported.
The Uzbek delegation’s visit to Bishkek took place on Feb.3-6 as part of the implementation of the Agreement between the Social Fund of Kyrgyzstan and the Off-budgetary Pension Fund under the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan on cooperation in the field of social insurance and pension provision.
During the visit, a short-term practical workshop on the experience and practice of pension provision in Kyrgyzstan was organized.
In particular, the Uzbek delegation got acquainted with current situation in the system of state social insurance and pension provision, the practice of assigning and paying the basic and insurance parts of the pension, the cumulative component, and the formula for assigning pensions, based on insurance principles, taking into account demographic indicators on life expectancy.
There was an exchange of experience and opinions in the issues of tariff and pension policy of state social insurance, as well as automation of the processes of appointing and paying pensions.
The sides agreed to continue the active cooperation in the social insurance and pension sector, and discussed the signing of an interstate agreement providing for the exchange of information on the pensioners, in order to exclude double payments.
Experts from Social Fund and the Off-budgetary Pension Fund agreed to continue further cooperation in order to consolidate the international cooperation between the two countries and the partnership between the institutions in order to develop the social protection.
