Experts from the competent authorities of the SCO discussed reducing the demand for drugs in the field of countering illicit drug trafficking, the press service of the Service for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
A meeting of the working group of experts on drug demand reduction, heads of the competent authorities of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states empowered to combat drug trafficking was held on March 11.
The meeting was attended by Cholpon Tabaldieva, a senior drug prevention group of the Organizational and Analytical Department of the Service for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking of Kyrgyzstan.
Experts from the SCO member states discussed the relevant points of the draft Action Plan for 2021-2023 on the implementation of the Action Program for the implementation of the Anti-Drug Strategy of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states for 2018-2023 included in this group.
The development and strengthening of cooperation in the fight against illegal trafficking in precursors was also discussed.
