Bishkek, Sept. 17, 2018. /Kabar/. A roundtable discussion will take place in Bishkek on Tuesday on draft laws aimed at implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament reported.
The participants will discuss draft laws in different areas of life, concerning the rights and interests of individuals with disabilities, initiated by Parliament Member Dastan Bekeshev.
It is expected that the round table will be attended by representatives of civil society, in particular, organizations that defend the rights of persons with disabilities.
At the end of August, 2018 Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev stated that Kyrgyzstan needs to ratify the UN Convention, noting that the government was preparing for its ratification.
