Astana, June 9 / Kabar/. Opening of EXPO-2017 has started in Astana, Kazakhstan on Friday with the participation of leaders of several countries of the world, including President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev, who arrived in the Kazakh capital to attend SCO Summit, which was held on June 8.
More than 100 countries and over 20 international organizations took part in preparation of the pavilions.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the exhibition Kazakh leader Nursultan Nazarbayev congratulated all the people who assisted in preparation and organization of the event.
The main theme of EXPO 2017 is “Energy of the Future”. It reflects the concern of the international community to the problem of energy consumption, which is having an increasing impact on the planet. Representatives of 115 countries and 22 international organizations ready to present guests the technology of the future, and dozens of Kazakh inventors will present the world their ideas and see what foreign colleagues.
More than 2000 media representatives arrived in Astana to cover the event.

1500 volunteers - students help the tourists and participants of the EXPO to be oriented in the EXPO village.
The exhibition "EXPO-2017 in Astana is the first large-scale international exhibition held on the territory of the former Soviet Union. It will last three months and will conclude its work on September 10, 2017.
