EXPO-2024 Women's Entrepreneurship Forum held in Bishkek

Bishkek, Nov.14, 2024. /Kabar/. Bishkek hosted an EXPO-2024 forum on the theme “Women Entrepreneurs of Kyrgyzstan - Key Players in Innovation and Economic Growth”, Accelerate Prosperity reported.

The forum began with welcoming speeches by Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Budget, Economic and Fiscal Policy of Kyrgyzstan Dastan Bekeshev, Deputy Regional Director for UN Women Elisa Fernandez Saenz Aiten Rustamova, Regional Director of the EBRD in Kyrgyzstan Ayten Rustamova and Country Director of Accelerate Prosperity Zhyldyz Isabekova.

All speakers emphasized the importance of women's entrepreneurship for sustainable economic development of the country.

Business presentations by graduates of the Bootcamp program, organized specifically for women entrepreneurs of Central Asia, were held within the framework of the EXPO. Ten participants presented their projects, the best of which will represent Kyrgyzstan at the international stage. An exhibition of goods created by women entrepreneurs demonstrated the variety of products - from environmentally friendly products to unique handmade items.

EXPO-2024 “Women's Entrepreneurship” has become an important platform for sharing experience, forming new business ties and strengthening the position of women in business.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan in close cooperation with the State Agency for Intellectual Property and Innovation, UN Women in Kyrgyzstan, Accelerate Prosperity and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
