Exporters of Kyrgyzstan and Turkiye sign memorandum of understanding

Bishkek, Feb. 13, 2024. /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz Export - the Center for Development and Promotion of Exports and the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) signed a memorandum of understanding, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

It is noted that this will give additional impetus to bilateral trade relations.

The document was signed on February 9 in Ankara during the 11th meeting of the joint Kyrgyz-Turkish intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation.

Against the backdrop of complex geopolitical and environmental challenges, both sides noted productive and fruitful dynamics in bilateral relations.

Economic growth and strengthening cooperation in various sectors indicate a high level of trust and partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Turkiye.

An important step was the discussion of the prospects for joint projects and initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of both peoples. Particular attention is paid to issues of cooperation in the field of water resources, energy and agriculture, taking into account climate change and the needs of both countries.

The meeting ended with the signing of the final protocol and action plan, including 62 points with a wide range of areas of cooperation: trade and investment, banking, finance, industry, energy, education, information technology, healthcare, social services, migration, culture and tourism.
