Bishkek, May 6, 2019. / Kabar /. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev stated the need to increase the level of exports up to USD $ 2 billion in 2019, and foreign trade turnover to USD 7 billion.
At the ceremony of awarding the best exporters of the country the prime minister said that in 2018, the amount of exports amounted to USD 1.7 billion and foreign trade turnover – USD 6.7 billion.
Abylgaziev said that gold from Kumtor, which goes to the UK, is in the first place on export - 38%.
“Light industry is in second place, and agriculture is in third place. We have many opportunities for export. A lot is being done by the government too. What do you need for export? First of all, simplified taxation and financing. In terms of taxation, Kyrgyzstan ranks first among the countries of Central Asia. In financing, we work with the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund to support agriculture,” he added.
Abylgaziev said that the government set optimistic goals to increase the average business in 2019 to 60% and enter the 50 countries of the world according to Doing Business.
“Now we are in 70th place, in 2018 we have improved our positions by 7 steps. In hope by 2022 we will enter 50 countries of the world for easy business,” the prime minister added.
